    Litecoin(LTC) is an open-source cryptocurrency that was launched in 2011 by former Google engineer Charlie Lee.

    Compared to Bitcoin’s algorithm which creates a block every 10 minutes, Litecoin blocks can be created faster, every 2.5 minutes. Also, the maximum number of coins that Litecoin technology can mine is 4 times as many currency units as Bitcoin.
