Speculating

Speculation is the act of investing in financial assets, with an expectation of making profits when the asset appreciates ( or depreciates when short selling) over time. A speculator will aim to “”buy low and sell high”” in layman’s term.

In Forex, speculators make profits when one currency appreciates against another currency.
