April 30, 2020IOTA is an open-source distributed ledger that is designed to record and process transactions in the Internet of Things (IoT) ecosystem. It uses a directed acyclic graph (DAG) instead of a conventional blockchain. It does not charge fees on transactions and not limit how many transactions can be confirmed per second in the network. Compared to the typical blockchain used in cryptocurrencies, IOTA says its system is faster and more efficient.
