International Monetary Fund

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) is an organization founded in July 1944, and it is located in Washington, D.C., currently consisting of 189 member countries. IMF is committed to promoting global monetary cooperation, securing financial stability, encouraging international trade, advancing high employment rates, sustaining economic growth, and reducing global poverty. By monitoring policies that affect exchange rates and the balance of payments, it supervises the global financial systems of its member countries.
